The agreement
By creating an account or connecting a server, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you are signing up for a company, you are confirming that you have the authority to accept on its behalf.
Your account
Keep your login details to yourself and use a strong password you have not reused anywhere else. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you, so tell us straight away if you think someone else is in there. You must be at least 16 and able to enter into a contract where you live.
What we provide
FastCP configures and manages Ubuntu servers that you own or rent, through an agent installed on them and a dashboard you use remotely. We install and maintain a web and PHP stack, manage sites, databases, system users, firewall rules and TLS certificates, and report the state of the machine back to you.
We are not a hosting provider. We do not supply the server, the network, the domain names or the bandwidth, and we are not a substitute for your own backups.
What stays yours
Your server, your code, your files and your data belong to you, and nothing here changes that. You give us permission to access and modify the server only as needed to run the features you use. The agent, the dashboard and everything else we built remain ours, and you agree not to reverse engineer or resell them.
Acceptable use
Do not use FastCP, or a server it manages, to:
- Send spam, run phishing pages, or distribute malware.
- Attack, scan or overload systems that are not yours.
- Host material that is illegal where you or your visitors are.
- Infringe someone else's copyright or trademarks.
- Interfere with our platform, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or try to slip past account limits.
If something serious is happening we may suspend an account immediately. Otherwise we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix it.
Plans and billing
The free plan costs nothing and needs no card; its limits are shown in the dashboard. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, in the currency shown at checkout, for each server connected to your account. Taxes are added where the law requires. If a payment fails we will retry and email you before anything is suspended.
We can change prices, but not mid term. Existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice before a change applies to their next renewal.
Cancelling
Cancel from the dashboard whenever you like. Your plan runs to the end of the paid period and then stops, at which point your account returns to the free plan's limits. We do not refund unused time on a monthly plan. Removing the agent from a server takes one command and leaves your sites running.
Availability
We work hard to keep the dashboard and API up, and we will give notice of planned maintenance where we can. Because the agent runs on your server, your sites keep serving traffic even when our dashboard is unavailable. Unless your plan includes a written service level agreement, we do not promise a specific uptime figure.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law insists on. Server administration involves risk, and you are responsible for keeping working backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost data, and our total liability in any twelve month period is limited to the fees you paid us during that period. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. For anything material we will email account holders at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use FastCP after that means you accept the new version; if you do not, you can cancel before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction named below, and disputes go to its courts. We would much rather sort things out by email first, so please write to us before anything formal.
